Simply put, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a unique fusion of an Android Smartphone and a Sony PlayStation Portable.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY is the first PlayStation Certified Android smartphone in the world. Mobile gamers can rest assured that this handset is built on the gaming expertise of Sony Computer Entertainment.

Flaunting a 4-inch screen and a slide-out PlayStation game controller - that is, with dedicated gaming keys, shoulder buttons and even an analogue touch joystick, XPERIA Play gives you a complete gaming experience with the 50 titles in its Game Store. It also comes with superb stereo sound and multi-player support, which makes gameplay more engaging.

Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with its 1 GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 GPU, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play brings all the value-added features users can get from an Android smartphone including SNS Integration, Google Services Suite, and access to the Android Market and its hundreds of thousands of apps and games.

This phone will officially be available in the Philippines within this month. The suggested retail price will be Php 19,990 but I believe Sony Ericsson Philippines will offer a big discount to those who will pre-order the handset.
