Li-Ion 1230 mAh | HTC Explorer has a smaller footprint compared to the lighter and slightly thinner Samsung Galaxy Y. Despite that, HTC Explorer has a noticeably bigger screen with greater pixel density, higher resolution autofocus camera and even has a slightly bigger battery. There are two areas, however, where Samsung Galaxy Y appears to be better than HTC Explorer; Processor and Internal Storage. Galaxy Y has a 832 MHz CPU vs. the 600 MHz chip of the latter. As for internal storage, SGY has 160 MB and only 90 MB for HTC Explorer. Nonetheless, one should note that Explorer has far more RAM than SGY, which should greatly augment the performance of the handset. As for the design, well, it depends on individual tastes. Samsung Galaxy Y looks like a shrunk Samsung Galaxy Ace while HTC Explorer looks like a smaller HTC Desire S. So which entry-level Android handset do you think is better?
