LG Optimus 2X Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread Update Out Now! LGP990 V20e Firmware Upgrade Confirmed! Posted: 16 Nov 2011 07:56 AM PST I've confirmed it myself. I've just upgraded my formerly-Froyo-running LG Optimus 2X to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread V20e software version. And I'm loving the phone twice as much now. I got the update via LG PC Suite. I just connected my phone to my PC via USB, ran LG PC Suite, clicked on Check for Software Updates button and got the notification. Clicking on the Yes button instantly launches LG Mobile Support Tool where you can Start Updating. Android 2.3.4 Software Update file pack for LG Optimus 2X weighs around 215.15 MB. Just make sure your phone is connected to the PC via USB throughout the whole software update process. It will restart once done. There you go. I hope you find this helpful, fellow LG Optimus 2X owners. Upgrade your phone now! (I'm loving the home-button-plus-power-button Screen Capture and the sleeker UI.)
Plants vs. Zombies - Not Losing Steam?! Still Going Strong! What's the Secret? Posted: 16 Nov 2011 04:39 AM PST Based on data gathered by Google Insights for Search from the last 12 months, interest in the keyword related to PopCap's aging Plants vs. Zombies - which translates to interest in the game itself - remains very high worldwide even in the face of serious competition from popular games like Angry Birds and its 3 other versions. In fact, surprisingly, interest in the 2-year-old game isn't just sustained but is also growing steadily as clearly shown in this graph: Credit: Google Insights for Search From around 65% interest in the keyword in February 2011, interest in Plants vs. Zombies approaches 95% as of writing. So what's the secret behind Plants vs. Zombies' continuous success? I speculate that it's because of PopCap's early recognition of the growing dominance of mobile platforms like iOS and Android. Plants vs. Zombies is actually in that first batch of PC games to have a version that runs on Apple's iOS for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and on Android. To date, PopCap continues to target mobile platforms that just yesterday, it launched a version of Plants vs. Zombies for Kindle Fire. For the very few who haven't played the game: Download Plants vs. Zombies and if you wish so, learn Plants vs. Zombies Cheats via the links.
BlackBerry Curve 9380 Philippines Price, Specs, Photos Posted: 16 Nov 2011 12:56 AM PST Finally, a full touchscreen BlackBerry Curve handset! BlackBerry Curve 9380 delivers the powerful social networking featues, ease-of-use and smaller footprint that distinguish the BB Curve family, while also offering users the choice of a larger display and an all-touch design. Finely crafted BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first full touchscreen smartphone in the BlackBerry Curve family. It features a responsive and brilliant 3.2-inch display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps that all BB fans have grown to love, including BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook for BlackBerry, Twitter for BlackBerry and the new Social Feeds app, that offer a fun and smoothly integrated mobile experience. The stylish handset also flaunts a 5 MegaPixel camera with flash and video recording, which allows users to easily capture and share moments with family and friends. Given that BlackBerry Curve 9360 has just been released in the Philippines, I'm expecting BB Curve 9380 to reach our shores by Q1 2012. No official word yet from RIM on its SRP but my guesstimate is around Php 19,000 to Php 20,000.
