My friend Chuck Ner showed me one of his new small-but-powerful Bluetooth speakers when my family made our almost-traditional holiday visit to the Ner home three days after Christmas.

Chuck is a singer-songwriter, a gifted musician. And I think he's one of the best people to talk to when it comes to speakers - regardless of price or size.

"Monster ClarityHD is a lot more affordable than our Bose Bluetooth speaker," Chuck told me. "But I find the sound coming from it quite impressive. The bass is equally loud."

He then gave me this demo:

Now, I don't know about you but I remember being thoroughly impressed with the clear, crisp and loud sound coming from that speaker, which is just about as small as a closed fist.

You can wirelessly connect Monster ClarityHD speaker to your Bluetooth equipped music player, smartphone or even PC. Or if you wish so, you can use the 3.5 mm input for listening to music from any device with a standard headset port.

ClarityHD can also work as a speakerphone for hands-free calls on your smartphone or for chats on Skype with your computer.

Monster ClarityHD Precision Micro Bluetooth Speaker 100 is now available in the Philippines via Power Mac Center. The price tag is around Php 7,500 if I remember correctly.
