| BlackBerry Empathy is Just a Concept Phone But Some Filipinos on Twitter Still Want One! Posted: 23 Jan 2012 08:26 AM PST I don't really know who the heffa bothered to dig the story out of the 2010 tech archives but the two year-old BlackBerry Empathy concept is back and currently trending on Twitter like it never left --   If you failed to catch the "handset" two years ago, BlackBerry Empathy is a concept phone presented by designers Daniel Yoon and Kiki Tang at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA for a design project then sponsored by Research in Motion. Yoon describes the 'smartphone', It is of course touch based and all the user's connections are shown graphically so you can see who is connected to whom. Each contact has an avatar that is encompassed by two colored rings. The inner colored ring shows the contact's previous emotional state, and the outer ring represents the contact's current emotional state. It is important to show the shift in emotions in order to see how an event has affected that contact.  Looks cool and all but won't see production! Nonetheless, despite the fact that it's not real (in strictest sense of the word) and that the concept is now way old, BlackBerry Empathy - miraculously - still managed to mount a comeback and be a hit among some Pinoy Tweeps (, which makes me wonder all the more who started this trend on Twitter and what his real intention is for doing so); Anyway. RIM has a new CEO; Here's to hoping he's fun enough to see the fact that BlackBerry Empathy trended on Twitter as a good sign for the company to make some -- if only to create more buzz among hardcore fans. That'd be crazy.

Well, it's because of her amazing, spine-tingling American Idol 11 audition where she belted out Whitney Houston's vocally-challenging signature ballad, "I Will Always Love You". Watch it here: Her rendition is so good that all three judges - Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler - clapped for her after she sang. Randy Jackson then asked her, "Wow! Yo, that's how you audition, right?! Yo, wut?! Where you been all this time?!" To which Ashley replied, "I've been at home. Being mom, doing things, gotta pay the bills. You know. I gotta work." "Ashley Robles, you're gonna be big! [...] You're going to Hollywood!" Steven Tyler told her right before she stepped off the stage. I know that Nokia Lumia 900 - the Finnish giant's current top-tier Windows Phone handset - is supposed to be just exclusive to AT&T in the United States. But according to TP's valued insider, given that the Philippines is practically a Nokia Nation and that 6 out of 10 Filipinos still prefer Nokia, there's a big possibility that this supersmartphone will be released here sometime this year.  For those who are seeing Nokia Lumia 900 for the first time, it'd be easy to conclude that it's simply a bigger version of the European best-seller Nokia Lumia 800. Sure, the two phones have a similar polycarbonate monoblock design identity but the former offers a lot more than its wider frame. Aside from having a bigger AMOLED screen featuring Nokia Clear Black technology, Nokia Lumia 900 also comes with 4G LTE connectivity support, allowing the user to enjoy internet speeds of up to 50MB per second!  Our insider told us that there's a chance that the phone will be formally announced in the Philippines within the first half or the middle of this year. Since Nokia Lumia 900 supports LTE, networks that deliver this service can also offer this phone as a bundled handset.
