Bounty Hounds Online Philippines - Level Up! Games Unleashes New MMORPG!

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 10:19 AM PST

Level Up! has a new game!

Revealed to the public at Level Up! LIVE 2011 just last Saturday, November 5, 2011, Bounty Hounds Online is a free-to-play sci-fi MMORPG (Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) where you play as a "Hound" or a high-tech mercenary in a strange alien world.

It's hunt or be hunted in this unique sci-fi MMORPG experience!

You can choose one of five mercenary classes with unique skills, weapons and abilities. Dive into dangerous missions through fully 3D environments alone or with a robot pet that can deal awesome damage or defend you in battle.

"We're very excited to introduce Bounty Hounds Online to the Pinoy online gaming community," says Jake San Diego, Playweb Games General Manager. "It has everything a typical gamer would expect out of a great online game: beautiful graphics, awesome game play and lots of PVP action. But for the sci-fi fan, it offers a lot more. Players will surely be blown away once they get to adventure through Bounty Hounds' futuristic environment and go to battle with the aid of transforming mechanical pets. Just like all of them, we can't wait to launch this game."

Developed by XPEC and Namco Bandai, Bounty Hounds Online was adapted from the game Bounty Hounds for the Sony PSP. Prominent features of the game include transformable fighting pets called Combat and Tactical Units (CTUs) and a Mercenary Card system that lets players show off their in-game achievements.

Bounty Hounds Online Philippines will start its Closed Beta Phase very soon. Stay tuned because TP will be giving away a few beta pass keys in the coming days!

Solve Android Short Battery Life Problem and Have Peace of Mind!

Posted: 07 Nov 2011 10:51 PM PST

Is your smartphone's short battery life proving to be a constant source of stress for you?

Do you leave the house in the morning with your smartphone fully charged and find yourself having to plug-in the charger again by lunchtime (even if you've followed all tricks and tips online on how to extend your phone's battery life like lowering screen brightness, turning off background data and vibrate feedback)? Don't fret. You're not alone.

While mobile operating systems today are becoming more and more powerful, they are also becoming more power-hungry, which often leads to higher battery consumption and depleted uptime.

Today, I present a lasting solution (which doesn't include always having your charger in your bag) to this utterly stressful problem.

Last month, I discovered this company called "Mugen" based in Hong Kong, which makes extended batteries for practically all smartphones in the market. Mugen's batteries promise to improve run time, often doubling what's provided by the original brand replacement.

A few weeks ago, the company sent me several battery packs to test on some of my smartphones.

Bigger Mugen battery packs that can alter how your phone looks like come with custom-made Mugen cases. These cases match your phone's design are made to fit your handset perfectly.

Some Mugen battery packs can be really thick like this 4500 mAh extended battery for one Android phone --

Yes, it's a rather hefty chunk and it makes the phone look a lot thicker once installed with the case, but then it also gives me up to 3 days of uptime with both Wifi and 3G turned on constantly! With this battery pack, I can go on an out-of-town trip with my smartphone and not worry about losing juice in the middle of the road.

I've been using Mugen batteries on some of my phones for several weeks now and I haven't experienced any problem with them. Off hand, I think they are safe to use.

If you want to try it out, you can order a Mugen battery for your phone HERE.
