Posted: 24 Feb 2012 01:43 AM PST

Once HTC One X gets officially released within the first half of this year, it will effectively supersede HTC Sensation XE as the Taiwanese company's new flagship smartphone.

Clearly top-of-the-line, leaked specifications of HTC One X prove that the handset is capable of going to head to head with flagship releases from other Android phone makers. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with its Quad Core CPU featuring NVIDIA's Tegra 3 chipset and has 1GB of RAM for fast and seamless multitasking. Other key specs include a 4.7-inch display with 720p resolution, an 8 MegaPixel camera with autofocus and LED flash at the back, Full HD 1080p video recorder, and a variety of connectivity options including Wifi, Bluetooth and 3G.

Putting its powerhouse innards and specifications, aluminum enclosure and new operating system in a separate category, what makes HTC One X special is that - just like HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation XL - it will ship with Beats by Dr. Dre earphones and will feature Beats Software providing a boost in audio performance. Oh, and also, HTC One X will be the first handset from the company to come with the new HTC Sense 4.0 experience serving as skin for Android 4.0; I feel lucky for getting the chance to own and experience several flagship Android phones from various company and I hope you believe me when I say that HTC Sense is by far the best Android skin out there.

It's said that HTC is already set to formally announce HTC One X on the 27th, at MWC in Barcelona; So stay tuned for that. As for its arrival in the Philippines, I believe that the phone will land here sometime in Q2 with an SRP of around Php 30,000.

To wrap this up in true TP fashion, here are some of the leaked technical specifications of HTC's flagship smartphone for the first half of 2012;

LG Optimus 4X HD Philippines Price Guesstimate, Specs : Quad-Core Android 4.0 Flagship Release!

As you all know, LG Optimus 2X - with its attractive design, solid construction and dual core processor - is one of my favorite Android phones from last year.

And if we're going to look at its recently leaked photos and specifications, the follow-up to that powerhouse handset could very well end up as one of the top phones this year. TP Friends, check out LG Optimus 4X HD --

lg optimus 4x hd

A true flagship release, LG Optimus 4X HD comes with no less than the best technical specs the Korean company could have given a handset this year. For the innards, this Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone runs on a Quad-Core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU with the geek-favorite NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset, 1 GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Key features include a 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 pixels HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, full HD 1080p video recorder, a surprisingly large Li-Ion 2150 mAh battery and a full range of connectivity options including Wifi, Bluetooth and 3G.

Editor's Note: Notice how LG is always at the forefront of releasing handsets with the latest CPUs. Last year, LG was also the first handset company to release a smartphone with a dual core processor; They even hold a Guinness Book of World Records certification for that. Kudos to LG, really. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

The handset is set to be officially unveiled and announced in Mobile World Congress happening in Barcelona, Spain on February 27th. I'm guessing that LG Optimus 4X HD will land in the Philippines by Q2 this year with a suggested retail price of around Php 30,000.
