Apple sold 3 million new iPads already

Here is word on the latest iPad from Apple – we do know that it has already caused quite a frenzy since it hit most of the major worldwide markets last Friday, and to hear it sell more than 3 million iPads in a space of less than half a week is incredible. Just to recap, the new iPad will come with a stunning new Retina display, Apple's very own (and new) A5X chip with quad-core graphics capability, a 5-megapixel iSight camera with advanced optics for capturing amazing photos and 1080p HD video, in addition to maintaining its proud all-day 10 hour battery life without sacrificing on form factor or weight.

Connectivity options for the new iPad includes 4G support for select models, and there is also a Wi-Fi only model if you are interested. Currently, the iPad Wi-Fi + 4G supports ultrafast 4G LTE networks in the US and Canada, while those living in other parts of the world will just have to make do with HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA.

According to Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, "The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold―the strongest iPad launch yet. Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday."
