Posted: 29 Apr 2012 12:51 AM PDT As it turns out, Nokia's high-end 2012 Windows Phone - Nokia Lumia 800 - is not exclusive to Globe Plans. You can now get it contract-free via select Nokia Stores and retail outlets nationwide for Php 23,500! TechPinas has played Nokia Lumia 800. I'll post my full review soon. Nokia Lumia 800, which boasts of one-touch access to Facebook and Twitter among other social media sites, Internet Explorer 9, easy grouping of contacts, and integrated communication threads, aims to give users the best social networking and internet performance. The handset flaunts a 3.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display with curved Gorilla Glass touchscreen blending seamlessly into the polycarbonate monoblock shell, and runs its Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS with a 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor with hardware acceleration and Adreno 205 graphics. Nokia Lumia 800 features an instant-share 8 MegaPixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash, and a 720p 30fps video recorder. It comes with 16GB of internal user memory and 5GB of free SkyDrive storage for conveniently storing content like music and images. Available in Cyan, Black, Magenta and White, Nokia Lumia 800 received the Editor's Choice Award at last year's What Mobile Awards. Personally, I've fallen in love with this phone for three reasons: 1. Its design is absolutely gorgeous 2. Windows Phone Metro is one of the smoothest and easiest to use interfaces out there. 3. Its camera is top-notch; Almost as good as the one on Nokia N8.
